Cuff Studio is a female founder brand serving homeowners and design professionals with furniture and lighting handmade in California.

Our Story

Cuff Studio is California-based and was founded in 2008 by Kristi Bender and Wendy Schwartz. All pieces are conceived and produced in Los Angeles. Inspired by geometry, architecture, and lifestyle, Cuff Studio furniture and lighting are timeless, modern, relaxed, and refined. Using an intentional layering and dialogue of materiality, form, density, and texture – all pieces are conceived to occupy a shared space in a way that feels evolved and dimensional without appearing matched. Cuff Studio is women run and women operated. They have a gallery in Los Angeles and maintain a select inventory of offerings available for memo or sit tests in New York City.

Located in the bustling Melrose Hill neighborhood of Los Angeles, Cuff Studio's flagship gallery is available for visits, sit tests, sample requests, and more by appointment only Monday - Friday.

Spring 2025, Cuff Studio expanded its footprint with a shared space in New York. The Showroom by Studio Nordic x Past Lives in Nomad features select pieces from Cuff Studio — marking a natural continuation of a West Coast-East Coast synergy.

Cuff Studio is an all-female team of incredible women. Our team is small but mighty. We are scrappy and willing to do what is required to propel the business forward. Each member of the team brings their unique history, perspective and insight. We raise our hand to support each other as life’s circumstances require. Cuff Studio is entirely self funded and is therefore very intentional in any decisions and strategies we consider.
